Our Story
A family with deep roots in Langley, growing food the way it should be grown — slowly, carefully, and with real respect for the land.
Lush Valley Farm started in 2013 when we moved out to a 12-acre property on the eastern edge of Langley. We'd always grown a garden, but this was different — space to really farm. The first year was mostly learning what the land wanted to do.
We started selling to neighbours and a few families from the local farmers market. Word spread quickly. People were hungry — literally — for food they could trust, grown by someone they could look in the eye.
Today we grow over 30 varieties of vegetables, herbs, and berries across the property. We've never used synthetic pesticides or fertilizers. Every bed is turned by hand or with small equipment, and every order is packed by one of us.
We're not trying to be a big operation. We want to grow excellent food for the people around us — and keep doing it for a long time.
Who We Are
A small team — mostly family, occasionally friends — who share the work and the satisfaction of a good harvest.
Margaret & David
Founders. Margaret manages the planting schedules and harvest; David handles the soil, equipment, and infrastructure.
Callum
Grown up on the farm. Runs the Saturday pickup and helps with deliveries during peak season.
Nora
Handles orders, the website, and social media. Also responsible for the herb beds and flower borders.
How We Grow
No Synthetic Inputs
We use compost, cover crops, crop rotation, and companion planting to keep our soil healthy and productive — no synthetic fertilizers or pesticides, ever.
Seasonal Planting
We grow what wants to grow when it wants to grow. Our schedule follows the Fraser Valley's natural rhythm, which means better flavour and stronger plants.
Small-Batch Harvesting
We harvest to order where possible, which means your produce is cut within 48 hours of pickup — never sitting in cold storage for a week before reaching your kitchen.
